Every life leaves an imprint.
Turning stories, memories and milestones into timeless mosaic art.
Commission a pieceArt is my way of making sense of the world. It reflects my experiences, my emotions and, above all, my identity. Every piece I create is deeply personal, yet it is only completed when it connects with someone else. That connection between artist and viewer is what gives the work its true meaning.
Mosaic is a medium that rewards patience, curiosity and dedication. It invites experimentation, with endless possibilities in the choice of tesserae, materials and surfaces. Every project begins as a collection of seemingly unrelated fragments, and through time, precision and imagination, gradually transforms into something whole. Witnessing that metamorphosis never loses its magic.
Versatility lies at the heart of my practice. I work with stained glass, glass tiles, smalti, stone, wood and metal, selecting each material for the character and emotion it brings to a piece. My work spans traditional mosaic designs, botanical studies, portraits, abstract compositions and contemporary interpretations, each offering a different way to explore texture, colour and form.
Every mosaic is an opportunity to push the boundaries of the medium and discover new ways to tell a story. With every fragment placed by hand, I hope to create work that is not only visually compelling, but also deeply meaningful, leaving a lasting imprint on those who experience it.

This is your moment to master the art of creating mosaics in a relaxed and serene environment with likeminded people.
We have mosaic day workshops/long term workshops for adults and children. We also hold progressive workshops for adults. The complexity of the patterns and techniques increases as you move up a level in these workshops.

Natasha's work spellbinds me. Not only a great mosaic artist and teacher, who is warm, friendly, extremely enthusiastic and inspiring, and has the ability to facilitate rather than dictate. Her patience and guidance encourages you to go deeper as she motivates you with her fine detailing skills. It is an absolute joy to have found my guru for glass and mosaic work.

Natasha is a master mosaics crafts person. An awesome teacher & mentor, she has an excellent command over her subject and encourages her students to unleash their own creativity. I took the intro course and then enrolled again. The classes are something I look forward to each week. There is always tea, cookies, some bandaids, a cool playlist, company of her pet cat and turtle, other fellow artists and most of all able guidance from Natasha. I will highly recommend joining the classes.

For me a creative act such as mosaic calms my mind and body like meditation, and the atmosphere in the workshop is always very supportive. Trust the process and you will be amazed by your own talent!

I joined Natasha when she started her first batch of classes. We were coming out of Covid and her classes were the therapy I needed after the pandemic. I had been in the house for almost 2 years and her classes gave me the much needed relief. Natasha is such a wonderful teacher. I never imagined I could ever do this art but Natasha believed in me and helped me to gain a new skill. I love the pieces I have created and recommend her classes to everyone who has a little art in them.

Thank you so much dear Natasha for the great experience at your workshop. I love doing mosaics and it was so good learning new techniques with you, especially working with glass mosaic. The time passes so fast — it's like meditation, you forget yourself, and especially when the outcome is rewarding.

What a learning experience I had with Natasha! It was absolutely fun. She is so welcoming and helpful. Her creative side will always amaze you. Learning from her was like therapy and I always admire her teaching skills. I cannot recommend her enough for her workshops. Thank you Natasha.

I absolutely loved taking Natasha's Mosaic classes. Natasha is an amazing teacher, as she is very patient and supportive. I was thrilled to walk away with a beautiful piece of work to hang in my home. What I enjoyed most was the therapeutic creative process, and how I left each session feeling calm, de-stressed, and giddy with a sense of accomplishment.

Learning to mosaic is a skill and an art, but under the able guidance of Natasha Desai, you learn to create beautiful works of art. Natasha is patient, encouraging and warm, and she knows how to tap your creativity. I would recommend her mosaic classes very highly. You won't regret it.

Natasha is truly gifted. She is both a fantastic artist and an amazing teacher. I happened to see her mosaic exhibits at a gallery and was instantly smitten by her work. When I found out that she also has classes I was thrilled. My mosaic classes with her superseded my expectations. Her gentle energy only adds to the already-therapeutic process of the mosaics.

Natasha has inspired me with her creativity, organisation and passion for mosaics. With every workshop I am amazed with my own work. Grateful to have come across a teacher like her. You're the best, Natasha!

Do I need any experience to join a workshop?+
Not at all. Every workshop is designed to be beginner-friendly — all tools, materials and refreshments are provided, and Natasha guides you from the first tile to the final grout.
Where is the studio?+
The studio is in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Exact address and directions are shared once your booking is confirmed.
How long does a commission take?+
Most private commissions take 6–12 weeks depending on scale and complexity. We start with a conversation about your story, space and budget, then a scaled design proposal before any tile is cut.
Can I buy a mosaic online?+
Yes — every piece in the Shop is available for enquiry. We keep purchases offline so we can talk through provenance, shipping and any bespoke framing before you commit.
Do you ship internationally?+
Yes. Mosaics are crated and insured; we quote shipping per piece once we know the destination. Reach out through Contact for a quote.
What is Picassiette?+
Picassiette is a mosaic technique using broken ceramic — plates, tiles, found objects — reassembled into a new whole. Natasha was the first to bring the Picassiette masterclass to the UAE.
